The Internet Hackers: Chica & Ming-Me (yes she is pink!)
It’s Wednesday Friends… Good Morning!
Sorry for the late blogging… my dogs unplugged the cable and I had to wait for Emily to wake up and troubleshoot the crises! She’s the hero and she wanted lots of applause, so here it is baby! You are my hero… you saved the day, my sexy tech savvy chick!
Yesterday, we mailed a letter to Iraq… to our dear friend, Charlie Mister. He is serving in the United States Army… and we miss him pretty badly. Charlie is an amazing young man! I’m so thankful for his sacrifice… for his love expressed toward my family and my fatherland! I believe that the greatest men and women of our land are serving in our military! I suppose that’s why I get so disgusted tolerating all the cowardice left wingest political chatter in our country. Me and my family support our military with passionate prayers several times a day! :)
Here’s a fact… our troops hang on the memories of the people they are protecting. They LIVE for letters and pictures… funny stories and announcements. They stream with tears of joy when new mail arrives!
So… sometime before Christmas, gather your family together and write a moving letter to one of our brave defenders! Believe me, this will make such a big difference!
Have a super day… I’ve already prayed you through to victory! Love you guys!
your prayers and thoughtfulness travel the world all around,i too am thankful for those serving this great country and i honor them not as much as we all should…if we all said 1 prayer a day think how much impact it could have on those guys n gals over there..especially this season we so celebrate..think of the stripes they represent and the stripes our savior bore for us all i have and would like to praise them so much for what they are sacraficing…should we now not think of what we could sacrafice to honor them—just a prayer each day..thanks for keeping them in your prayers and reminding us…hope floats–pam
Yeah, you know this is so big on my heart right now! I cant wait for Charlie to recieve our package… we even sent a bunch of very funny pictures. He’s gonna be so encouraged and he’s going to smile so big! He may even cry… with tears of joy I hope!
Thanks for being a good role model for your congregation. Reading your blog, I found myself thinking how my conscience was speaking your exact words and how I shouldn’t let this be one of those things that I “contemplate” doing and actually do it. I was thinking how I have family members that are in the service and recently spent time in Iraq. Why not contact them? Why not ask them if they have a friend – maybe one they’d like to reach out to that they could give me their name so our family could “adopt” them too. God, I pray I act. In the moving words of Og Mandino, “I will act now. I will act now. I will act now….” Check it out here:

Iraq….I have a newphew in the Army who just got to Iraq. My sister is at times beside herself, but I know we serve a great big God. I teach students whose fathers or mothers are in Iraq. Each day I am grateful to these great men and women. I live 2 minutes from the back gate of Camp Lejeune (sorry if I spelled that wrong). I made a connection with a wonderful family last school year. I would get emails from one of my student’s fathers always checking on his daughter. So, I came up with the idea of her making a picture journal to send him via email. It really made his time easier to deal with while away from his family. It was awesome to meet him when he got back to the states. It made me realize how important it is for me to do what I can to keep the lines of communication flowing between parent and child during deployments. Thanks for the blog and the reminder that we all need to do our part as the military is doing theirs.
I just prayed for your nephew! I am praying psalms 91 over him as I pray this over all our military. Have a super night…
